Marina Niderviller
Close to the French-German border Alsace-Lorraine has had a colourful past ruled by France then Germany, then changing hands again a number of times. Our marina is located in Niderviller and has joined the Rundtön Marinas since 2005.
Landscape
Expansive grain-fields, woods with plenty of game, vineyards, picturesque villages and a number of reservoirs and lakes characterize this area. In two nature parks you will find vegetation not generally expected in this area: carnivorous plants, capercaillie on the higher grounds and lynx in the woods. But the main attraction of a boating holiday in the Alsace-Loraine lies in the historic water buildings and structures. A number of manual and electric locks, several tunnels, the huge lock of Réchicourt and the boat-lift of St. Louis-Arzviller are among other awesome structures present.
The main waterways Canal de la Marne au Rhin, Canal de l’Est, Mosel(le) and Saar-Canal are multi-faceted: meandering rivers intersect with straight canal-sections. The waterway runs through mountainous areas, vast fields of open countryside, and busy towns like Strassbourg, Saverne as well as dreamy little wine villages.
Our new Marina Niderviller at the Marne-Rhine Canal (in Alsace-Lorraine) – a fully serviced marina – offers extensive space for you and your boat. The newly built marina building accommodates our marina office, our shipyard and a number of apartments.
The apartments consist of: one big apartment with two bedrooms and a living room with an integrated kitchen, two apartments with one room. Our boat repair hangar is spacious enough to repair four boats at the same time and is solar heated which also heats the water.
We have fantastic sanitary facilities and a breakwater, all were completed in 2006.
Any caravan or motor caravan owners are welcome in our Marina Niderviller. We have 13 sites for motor-homes, all are equipped with electricity, water and TV.

how to find us >>
Our Marina Niderviller is located on the longest lock-free section of the Canal de la Marne au Rhin. West from Niderviller you will first pass a very large lock at Réchicourt, which replaced six smaller locks some time ago. Eastwards it is only a short journey to the tunnels of Niderviller which are quite an adventure being 500m and over 2km in length respectively. Right after the tunnels you will reach the boating-lift of St. Louis-Arzviller.
